Service Providers (Home Services Platforms)

Online platforms connecting consumers with home services providers in the City of AI shall register annually with Permit Central and verify provider licenses on initial onboarding.
Cabarets, Dance Halls, Public Entertainment

An establishment offering public dancing, live music, or other entertainment for paid admission shall hold a cabaret license, with sound-mitigation review and a public safety plan.
Card Rooms

Card rooms operating games of chance are prohibited within the City of AI except as licensed under 8 M.R.S. § 1001 et seq. (Maine Gambling Control Board).
Tobacco Paraphernalia

Closing-Out Sale

Junkyards

Junkyards and motor vehicle graveyards require a license under 30-A M.R.S. § 3754 and a screening plan approved by Permit Central.
Massage Establishments

Massage establishments shall be licensed by the State of Maine and shall hold a local business license; practitioners must hold current state credentials.
Mechanical Music Devices

Jukeboxes, public-facing speakers, and amplified outdoor music devices on commercial premises are subject to the noise standards in Chapter 9.44.
Pawnbrokers and Secondhand Merchandise

Pawnbrokers and secondhand merchandise dealers shall be licensed under 30-A M.R.S. § 3961 et seq. and shall report transactions to the Maine State Police RAPID Reporting System.
Community Event Permit

Alarm Systems

Sound Trucks

Sound trucks may operate only between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and only with a permit specifying route and content. Commercial advertising is prohibited.
Special Event Shows
