Overview
Elections in the City of AI are administered by AI County, not the city. The City Clerk handles only the registration paperwork that any resident drops off at Civic Hall — registrations and ballots are transferred daily to AI County Election Services for processing.
For current ballot questions, polling-place lookup, sample ballots, candidate information, vote-by-mail, and unofficial election results, visit the AI County elections site at www.aicountyme.com/elections.

Volunteer to work an election
AI County recruits citizens to staff polling places, count ballots, and assist voters with accessibility needs. Volunteer election workers (sometimes called "ballot clerks" or "election wardens") earn a per-election stipend, are trained in advance, and serve for one or both shifts on election day.
To volunteer in the City of AI, call (207) 555-3300 or email elections@cityofaime.com and our Elections Liaison will refer you to the AI County recruiter. Bilingual workers, college students aged 16+, and accessibility specialists are especially encouraged to apply.
Council districts
The city's nine council districts are mapped under Chapter 1.18 (Municipal Elections). Boundaries are reviewed by an independent redistricting commission after each U.S. Census.
